La jolla spearfishing
Went out to marine street in la jolla today and conditions were great. Visibility past the waves was 20-25 feet. Saw a bit of life many senorita fish, some huge opaleye, short bass, and a couple lobsters. I managed to find a nice sheephead(female) and speared it. That was my only fish of the day but right when i started i came across a school of about 30 butterlip perch and i speared one but it shook off and the school swam off, ( I have a polespear so its kinda tough) looked for some halibut in the sandy areas but had no luck. Overall it was a great day because of nice visibility, and if i had a speargun i would have gotten many more, oh well, im new to the sport.
