CA using hook and line from boat while others spear
Hey guys
I've been looking at the regs and was wondering about the legality of a buddy fishing from a boat while I go over the side and get my spear on. My buddy doesn't dive but has a small boat that would be cool to use along the coast. I've seen the regs that say something about not allowing it while fishing for or possessing rgc complex fish. Could someone point me in the direction of the regs that either allow or restrict fishing from the boat. Thanks Thumper |

You should be fine unless your in a zone that is restricted to pelagic species only.
