Improved spark plug boot
May be of interest to some other guys running outboards in challenging conditions, especially the small single cylinder models. I found a solution to lots hair pulling, swearing, mid channel stall-outs, and unproductive googling over a mystery problem with a new Tohatsu 6hp four stroke...

Re: Improved spark plug boot
Hah, thanks. Problem is that it is a custom cast part, and while it seems like it is going to work great and last based on my experience with the materials used, on a different plug/boot combo it wouldn't work the same or seal so nicely. I am not sure what the level of standardization is on those parts. I dunno, might be worth looking into... Might be a solution in search of a problem, not sure. It would certainly be cheap and simple to manufacture in quantity. Surprised there isn't something out there like it already.
