April Grunion, Halibut and Good Tides

...Looking pretty good for flattie hunting April 8th thru 11th.... if the weather cooperates...With a full dark moon, the larger fish will be less apt to full up on the deeper water gathering grunion and are more likely to move up shallow for easier pickings. Good early a.m. high tides should improve visibility for divers....
...Weather decides, but, usually the 3rd and 4th days of a run are most productive, as more halibut come in on the tides to share in the feast.
...If you are a beginner, avoid well-lit beaches, as grunion prefer love making in the dark...
...As i have said over the years, "Find the grocery store and you will find the gamefish"...good hunting

Halibut are born with their eyeballs on both sides of their face, like a normal fish. But as they grow one eyeball moves over to the other side of the fish's face and stays there permanently. There's no real reason as far as I know as to why some halibut eyes move one way vs the other way.
