Good luck to all in the SPO
Looks like pretty calm seas for Saturday. Just need the rain storms to hold off till evening. See some of you out in the MG. Everyone on the boat I'm on isn't in the SPO. That's to ensure we get big fish . One last comment to all you SPO shooters: No fish is worth your life.

Re: Good luck to all in the SPO
Ran out to the MG in pretty flat seas. Had a big thunder cloud that provided shade as the sun was rising till we got there. We moved around quite a bit. Saw plenty of boats with dive flags or just pole fishing. Was perfect conditions for the MG or Elbow. bottom temp. was still around 83F.. On the way up you could certainly feel that hot tub thermal temp.. Horz. vis varied from 25'-40'. This trip no sharks. We did ok. Nothing to brag about. Plenty of fish fillets for everyone. Had a friend Rob text me some of the SPO fish results. Some impressive fish. Black grouper 106.45# is a beast. Hogfish 21.05# would make a beautiful mount.

Agree. Nice day out there. Got our biggest grouper. Biggest hog was maybe 14? This red was 19.5# whole. 32". Couple of sandbars. Fish on every dive. Lots of grouper. Closed that category out.
