Re: Go Pro Mount-
How, Can you post some pictures of it. I hate the head mount strap that I purchased for the camera, I have read a bunch of posts of people loosing them off their heads and not even knowing it. I keep mine mounted to the butt of my gun but the angle isnt always the best.
Interested in the mask mount |

Re: Go Pro Mount-
all i did was cut one of the plastic prongs off one of the mount extensions they give you and then i ran a small bolt through the plastic piece between my lenses you can adjust the angle still and it works great and feels like nothing is there also you cant lose it unless you lose your whole mask.

Re: Go Pro Mount-
Have you tried that with a extended battery? That actually looks cool, just concerned if the camera hits a kelp stalk at 40' and floods the mask?

Re: Go Pro Mount-
There is no real best mount for the gopro. Just like the age old question, whats the 'best mask' or the 'best gun'. its more of what works for your particular situation. Every mount has its advantages and disadvantages and each will come with its own set of issues. With each mount you buy and try youll learn what works best.
What Ive found with the head mount is that the footage tends to be jumpy and shaky. If you wear a hood you wont be able to feel if you loose it as well. I popped out of the water before boarding a boat after a dive recently and it happened to me. Luckily someone was watching me and told me before it was too late. Since a go pro is way more then just a 300 dollar camera it makes me never want to put it up on my noggin again. My first thought would be tying it to the strap that you zip your suit up with. Personally I think some sort of mount that attaches underneath or to the side of the mid section of the gun. |

Re: Go Pro Mount-
I like to put it on the front of the gun. If you have a muzzle reinforced disck like riffe has you can make one ez. If it is in the front of the gun it will give you that much beter of a shot as go pro don't work that well on things that are to far way. I'll try post pics of my mount.

Re: Go Pro Mount-
I like the idea of mounting right to your mask. Just wondering though, you have not had any problems with your mask leaking with the extra weight?
