weather permitting man I am hoping to get some people out on Saturday near Dania for some spearing and we will be in the yaks. Feel free to come out; just make sure you have a dive flag and a paddle leash of some sort so it's there when you get back.

I under weight myself for this very reason and eventually would love to get to where I don't need them; but if I did that now I would have almost no bottom time at 30'+ since I am still pretty novice at FD (30' is my max depth with only ~10sec BT). You just don't want to over weight yourself just to get down faster as you have to work harder to get back up with the added weight and this is when you are needing air and are now burning more 02 b/c your working harder; you don't want to have to ditch your belt. Also this is where SWB typically occurs as well and if your over weighted and -buoyant you may not be seen in time. This is what I have gathered from talking to people and reading up on the various opinions on things (particularly on the other board, FSF).
Good stuff shallow runner. I am hoping to get out again this week, but being the fact that my business account ( Day Trading ) is now officially open I am usually tied up in the a.m. The days I make big I usually shut down at lunch time. You do shore diving or kayak only?

Best thread on the site Lol

I do both shore and yak, 99% yak though. Like I mentioned in the other post I am hoping to get out again on Saturday; have to make up for my keys trip, lol. but feel free to come on out.

I always wanted to try day trading or stock trading in general. How long you been at it?

I want a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) fiberglass bottom, I;ve seen a couple on craigslist for decent price, a big boat is more gas, more storage, more everything.

True enough; if I find one (a RIB) for a good price I would love to get one. Just have to be careful about punctures. Plus you can launch a RIB at the SC launch at Meade.

I have access to a small dinghy with a 4hp and it is great (on good weather days). In a storm they probably wont hold up well Carli. I went through a mission but then again you are getting a bigger engine. Hard bottom is important also cause the first dinghy I took out there had inflatable bottom and was uncomfortable.

You have to paddle out though I was stopped by the lifeguard and he said we also must have 1 lifevest per person. Nice guy he even lent me a life vest.

Yea, with any vessel not under human power, so motors both gas and electric, must be registered and you must have all the required items on board such as life vest, flare, extinguisher, etc. All of that can be gotten cheap and thrown into a duffel bag and bungee it down. A buddy of mine did that back home and it worked great. A little more hassle but worth it I think. I think they would be great because of all you can carry and little effort getting out. Like FD said though, watch the tips, knives and even fish with sharp spines; you don't want to have to run in before your boat deflates.

Was thinking about hitting dania. Don't want to do it alone. Crazy boat drivers.
