I have the same camera, I like 1080 P, 30 frames per second, 12mp wide. Also I have the extra battery backpack, gives it about twice the battery life

Re: GoPro settings

If you want to possibly play back the video in slow motion, then 60 fps is a good choice. Also I find the medium FOV is better for spearing video, because the wide makes everyhting look too small and far away

Re: GoPro settings

Thanks guys I’ll try those settings and see how they come out. Will these settings work on land also or only in the water? Just got this camera so I’m not familiar with all the settings.

jfjf what is the medium FOV?

Re: GoPro settings

FOV is field of view... I think you have three settings - use the medium, yes will work in air too. I've shot basically all the video on my youtube channel in that mode. The 3 plus is a decent camera. i'm saving for the 6.

Incidentally i have a 3 + model that i never use. If someone wants to make me a reasonable offer....

I just got the 6 and have been playing with it and think it will be worth the upgrade. I am running 1080p in linear mode which is less than wide at 120 fps. This really gets rid of all the fisheye on the outside and seems to give the best performance for view stabilizer which is quite amazing.
