Dive buddy in Arizona
I'm right smack dab in the middle of the state prescott. looking for somebody that be interested in doing some exploring down in Mexico I've been to San Carlos but there's a few places in between that sound like they might be interesting or even heading over to the Baja.

Re: Dive buddy in Arizona
I really don't dive much in July through Sept. Northern Gulf water too hot.
Summer is the time to go to La Paz. I'll skip June probably this year and I'll be in Alaska in July. |

Re: Dive buddy in Arizona
Hey guys, I've been to San Carlos many times, just got back from our annual two weeks spearfishing trip to San Carlos . Some questions - we mostly go there last weeks of June but water is getting hotter each year so I'm thinking to move it to different time for next year. Any suggestions for good weather when wetsuit is still not required? Any of you spearfish in az lakes? I'm living in Scottsdale.. I have couple of good places in rocky point I can share, but visibility and current is much worse than in San Carlos

Re: Dive buddy in Arizona
I like spring break in San Carlos need a 3 mil wetsuit though. Just got back from Lake Pleasant on Saturday and I think season is pretty much done for until maybe end of August September right now I couldn't even see the end of my spear gun. Yeah once the water gets warm in San Carlos the fish go deeper and the visibility drops

Re: Dive buddy in Arizona
I’d love to know more about Lake Pleasant and any other local lakes. I’ve never trekked down to San Carlos and would be up for a trip sometime.

Re: Dive buddy in Arizona
Well with Lake Pleasant the southeast side is more Rocky and has generally better visibility. In the early spring most all the lake has great visibility but as summer rolls around and the water temperature gets too warm and the whole lake goes green. Haven't drove any other Lakes around the state
