Lightbulb Gun set up.

SO I live in in the south bay area and recently bought a riffe 110x with a riffe reel. Now my concern is what is the best set up for my gun. I started off with a 90 magnum JBL gun attached to a float using a tuna clip and a floatline. Now I am confused how to set up my riffe. This gun is expensive and do not want to loose it while hunting. how should I set up my gun? I know its personal preference but I need any advise asap. I want to test my gun as soon as possible. what accessories do I need? What size D ring is appropriate? Should i use a float? I took out my bungee and rigged my reel line directly onto to the existing line. thanks for your help

Re: Gun set up.

It's got a reel, you're good to go mang.
Floatlines blow anyways for most CA stuff IMO. but pick one or the other, if you want to use the floatline take the reel out of the equation. To rig a floatline to it I would just crimp a loop of cable through the back hole of the gun back by the butt and tuna clip to that.

You may want to use both the reel and the floatline together for a dive or two till you have some experience with the reel if you have never used one before

Re: Gun set up.

just a thought: any time you crimp a line going to your expensive gun setup, always use two crimps and burn the line end to mushroom it out...that way, if the crimps fail (usually caused by inexperience at how to properly use a crimping tool), the mushroom end will act as a stop against the crimp(s) and prevent gear loss...
