Look for a used RA. Used Pathos would also be great, but likely out of your price range. Lots of guys like their JBL guns, but many others don't. The nice thing about the RA option is the guns are easy to work on; they are not perfect.

Another option could be for you to give Petros at Spear America a call. If you present your situation properly, and give him your price range, he might be able to hook you up with a solid Pathos speargun.

Don't get me wrong, he is not running a charity, but he runs a great outfit, his gear is solid, and he is a good guy; not likely I will order from anyone else from now on.
