Re: Best Spear Gun For Beginners?
I'm pretty sure you want a Wong Ono with a slip tip and 100' float line

Re: Best Spear Gun For Beginners?
But in all seriousness look for a used mako jbl or Rob allen, post on the members items section what you are looking for and someone will probably hook you up

Re: Best Spear Gun For Beginners?
Bro, tons of comedians in here love it!
But seriously folks ... my 2 cents for what it is worth, look for value, quality and versatility in your gun. If you shore dive, kelp, low vis .... a shorter gun might work out well for you (did for me). Easy to handle, shorter shot line to deal with, easier n faster to load, more manageable in rocks n caves. Also, if you use this gun a lot, you will learn quickly about replacing bands, increasing power, different shot lines, spear tips to further dial in the type of spearfishing you do the most of while making you more successful in the water and improving the quality of your stringer. Good luck, be safe n hope you catch some nice fish/ |

Re: Best Spear Gun For Beginners?
75cm cressi comanche with and reel and flopper, its never jammed and never failed me, great reef and rock gun, shot and killed many calis and sheephead of decent size over the last couple of years, cheap and durable, any sports chalet will have them. Learn technique and skill and safety before you go crazy on gear.

Best Spear Gun For Beginners?
I love my rob allen 100 it's a little long for the reef but works great with awesome accuracy. I'd definitely recommend a rail gun no matter the brand.
