Looking for a Blue Water gun!
Hey all...
I'm in the market for my first blue water gun, capable of taking pelagic fish. I'm headed to Baja in November and will be hunting Yellowtail and hopefully some other big fish. I currently have a Riffe Euro 90 and a Sea Sniper 90 for Central Cali reef/shore diving. I don't live in an area where Blue Water hunting is plentiful, so I'm mostly hunting Lings and other rock fish species. I got the Riffe Euro 90 for a couple Channel Islands trips, but for Mexico I'm obviously going to need something bigger. As I don't get to hunt blue water often, I'm looking to buy something used, being that I will probably only use it a couple times a year. Gun I'm thinking about is a mid handle 130 with 3 5/8 inch bands and 5/16" shaft. But I am open to other ideas. Please let me know if you have anything for sale at a good deal, that you think would be good for this trip. Thanks!! Cheers! |

If you're not set on mid-handles I have a brand new Mako 140 for $225 and a gently used Mako 130 with reel and 2 shafts $275. Prices are firm. I'm in the Bay Area.

That Wong is a great deal and would be perfect for what you need.
