Re: Thinking of a gun build
So I finally got around to making the gun, I had some teak and made a 40" blank that was 1.5"W and 1.75"T I got all the cuts in it except the line anchor(anyone know length of neptonics??) I'll do it with drill press. I made all the round overs and everything all I need is parts, I have the trigger which is a mako reverse mech my friend gave me I'll upload some pics

Re: Thinking of a gun build
There you go! Good job man. Theres other options to buying a line anchor. If you can get some 3/16 aluminum or stainless, or even brass you make an anchor pretty easy. Another option is drill a hole into the stock with a pin through the side. If you want to mount a reel later and need a guide you can bend some stainless rod and epoxy it in. Here's how I've done it, not too difficult and easy on the wallet, plus it puts the anchors completely out of the way of the shooting line.
