Halandale Beach
Hey guy,
just moved to Hallandale beach and hope to do some shore dives around, Im right beside the big baloon that has Hallandale beach written on. I remember when boating, we used to sail some where around here and there was an artificial reef in about 17 or 20 ft of water, is it still around? I was trying to fond it but havent had any luck so far. Also If any of you do shore dives aroud the area, Im usually in the water on sat tue and wed. Thanks.... |

Re: Halandale Beach
Actually come to think of it i just remembered i have a few buddies who have told me before there is some kind of reef off of Hallandale so im pretty sure its still there. Not sure as to what in specific but i believe some sort of boulders or rocks. Is this what you are reffering to?

Re: Halandale Beach
Google Earth is pretty good for locating some shallow spots.
There is a reparation reef off of Dania LAT 26 02 50.6N LONG 80 06 36.5 W. It's a lot of boulders that were placed to make up for covering up the natural live rock during beach dredging. Off of Hallandale beach is a similar looking area LAT 25 59 12.78 N Long 80 06 36.5 W. If you look at the north end you can see a boat anchored. I think this might be what you are looking for. |
