Scuba training

I'm 29 years old and am interested in scuba diving and spearfishing. I live in North Dakota so my opportunities are few and far between. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting trained? I was wondering maybe a three day vacation somewhere to get trained. Looking for suggestions where would be a good place to look. Thank you
