Watch Repair
I have a Salvimar watch. Simple. Effective. Need a new battery. Took it to my watch guy and he said that he cannot repair it due to it would need a new gasket to seal up the case so it will not get wet. Does anyone have ideas about this? I looked up Salvimar and it looks like a French company. Do not want to send all the way to France for a new battery. Thanks in advance.

Re: Watch Repair
Quick Google search turned up this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yto8qFEY7E
Just be sure to mute the terrible music. The O-ring might be harder to source. I could only find a European distributor, but I'm sure if you look into it, you will be able to find something that works. https://www.planetmultistore.com/sch..._38134__EN.php

Re: Watch Repair
Juan, you are a rock star! Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'm guessing I will buy the kit and take down to jewler as not to screw it up beyond repair. Thanks again!

Re: Watch Repair
You may want to take it to a dive shop so they can do the replacement, they have pressure testing equipment, and are probably more familiar with dive watches and computers than a jeweler might be.
Not sure where you are located, but I'm sure there's a dive shop near you that services gear of that nature. Let us know how it goes.
