The African hunt was a 9 day hunt.Airfare,hunt,taxidermy,tips and souveniers was going to cost me around 12-15 k with a Safari Club discount.I went to the Knob Creek Machinegun shoot and got the machinegun bug and ended up buying 3 new MAC11s with consecutive serial numbers,A new Vector UZI and and a silencer(can)for 22 cal.guns for right at 18k not counting 200 bucks for the tax stamps on each item.
When the economy went to crap I sold them with a small profit.

EVERYBODY likes to shoot machineguns (even liberals)but not everyone kicked in for ammo.I was buying 10-20k rounds every other month.

Its not a cheap hobby thats for sure!I have enough spent cleaned and polished brass for years of reloading though.
If you want to start out with one MG to test the waters a MAC11 with a LAGE upper and a can is about as "affordable" as you can go for a subgun.LAGE upper slows the fire rate down so you dont go broke as quick and you can put H&K sights on it with a nice retracting stock and actually compete with an MP5 on a shoot.Knob Creek Machinegun Shoot is every spring and fall in Knob Creek Kentucky.Everything from tanks,artillery to helicopters mounted with belt feds shoooting and for sale.Dont blame me if you get the bug!
