Salvimar suits vs Yamamoto suits

Looking for some input from anyone who has experience with both. I'm looking into a salvimar NAT suit but I know it isn't yamamoto rubber. How do their suits compare to those that use yamamoto? I'd like to know how durable they are and how the comfort compares.

I have one yamamoto suit and I like it fine, I know it is a popular material in lots of different suits out there, I just don't know anything about the material salvimar uses. My main question is whether salvimar suits are good quality compared to others

Re: Salvimar suits vs Yamamoto suits

The salvimar people would be well advised to say what material they use... we are not all looking for the same thing.

I use yamamoto mostly but I also need a compression resistant suit, so no yamamoto 39 or 45 (worse). There were yamamoto 20 suits from Picasso long ago. I now wonder how they would compare to Sheiko's compression resistant stuff or Heiwa SK... Life is full of needless mysteries...

Re: Salvimar suits vs Yamamoto suits

I had a NAT 3mm and it's the worst neoprene I have owned. It fit me like a glove when new, but after just a week doing 60-80ft dives in HI it got deformed and thin, then the leg cuffs got all shredded. It's sitting in my basement now, I should feed it to the sharks.
