Speargun used in criminal shooting incident
Not the sort of thing we want to see as it casts a shadow over spearguns and their ownership, unfortunately bad types can get their hands on these weapons who have zero to do with spearfishing.
https://www.theguardian.com/australi...-shot-in-chest Hopefully the perpetrator is brought to justice and the victim has a complete recovery. |

Re: Speargun used in criminal shooting incident
Ownership of spearguns could be very well regulated as long as all the manufacturers start putting serial numbers on them.
The problem would be with Frankenguns, home made wooden guns, etc... Mikel |

Re: Speargun used in criminal shooting incident
Better ban those dangerous assault weapon spearguns...after all, think of the fish that will be saved...
This is why firearm bans do not work. People who want to kill will always find another weapon to use. All gun bans do is leave the innocent defenseless against the criminal. Next they will ban knives...wait, they already have in England. But the violence continues...except the good people are now utterly defenseless.

Re: Speargun used in criminal shooting incident
Don't want to provide ammunition to those who desire to disarm us, any pretext will do as long as the manipulative can persuade the ignorant that banning spearguns will save civilization as we know it and rid the shores of dangerous types. Truth will not get a look in as basically we would be set up in an anti-hunting, anti-gun crusade for those seeking to build a political reputation and therefore looking for easy "dragons to slay".
