Re: Beach Vis

Headed out to 130ft for some fishing yesterday for some Snapper. Unfortunately the sharks were everywhere, and they were sucking up every Sardine I sent down. After several hours of cut offs I finally landed about a 130 pound reef on 25 lb test. We still needed some dinner. We came inside Jupiter Inlet and I jumped in by a dock where the vis was great. Shot a nice sheepshead and had my dinner. Hopefully this inshore vis lasts towards the weekend so I can get a beach dive off the Island.

Re: Beach Vis

Did a beach dive off Jupiter Island at 5pm yesterday. Vis was only about ten feet. Didn't see anything worth shooting.

4/24/09 Intercostal Ft. Pierce:

Water in the river was clear as Ive seen it in awhile. Took a break from kayak fishing yesterday and jumped in w/ a mask. Vis was 10'+ near slack high tide. No spear equipment, so no fish, but snapper and sheepies are definitely there... conditions looked nice.

Re: Beach Vis

Worst that I have ever seen it. NOT JOKING EITHER! Drove all the way down to Jupiter because it was blacked out when we passed over the inlet... Jupiter was clear for half the day then the wind came on harder and it got milky (Sunday).

5-5-09: House of Refuge

15-20' close to shore. Saw small margates, snapper and sheepies... Paddled out to the wreck, but no one was home. Water was nice! Get out there... Maybe pepper park this weekend?! Anyone?

Re: Beach Vis

yeah but I have only done that for the first time last weekend. it is pretty nice to have them for the beach stuff, though.

PS>there is some kind of algae bloom all around our area in brevard from sebastian up to past the cape... the water is brown and stinks like fish?! hopefully not the beginning of something bad like red tide...
