Observers for Nationals
Spearfishing Nats update: trophies ordered, shirts ordered, program sent to printer! Next order of business: we need observers on every boat competing in Nats. So, please ask your friends, wives, kids, etc. to see if anyone is interested in being an observer. Way it works is your friend does not go on your boat, he goes on another competitor's boat to make sure you're not getting cheated out of a National Championship! Tournament's on Thur 8/12 at Sandsprit Park in Stuart. Anyone interested please let me know asap. USOA rules say each boat must have an observer. Thanks.

Re: Observers for Nationals
Looking like 55 total competitors. 15 Men's teams & 5 Mixed teams so, 20 boats! You wanna be an observer?

Re: Observers for Nationals
Hi Scott,
With both the Wednesday and the Friday as being make-up days, what are you needing from the Observers? Be prepared for any of the days being called upon? What sort of notice do you think you may be able to give to the Observers? Could be difficult. Thanks, Mike. |

Re: Observers for Nationals
Mike - it's looking good for original date of 8/12 Sandsprit Park for Nationals. Are you interested in being an observer and/or helping with the weigh-in? Anyone else interested in helping out? Free tournament shirt & bbq lunch for all volunteers!

Re: Observers for Nationals
Hi Scott,
I will be there on the 12th and look forward to the event. and being an observer Hopefully you will not have to use a rain day alternative, but if so will also try to make it, if prior notice is reasonable. I must admit to being a little paranoia of newbies to the sport being out on the deeper reefs and wrecks trying to do, in the excitement of the day, that what they have no should not be trying. Re: Observers for Nationals
Pretty much all strong, experienced divers this year. Not aware of any that shouldn't be here. But I know what you mean - that's why I was paranoid to have it in PB! Way too dangerous down there - deep, not much fish, & strong currents.

Scott I can help out at the park if needed. Also have boat trailer parking available near downtown Salerno if anybody needs it.
