Looks clever to me. I was thinking in something similar a while ago...

Agreed - been looking at one for awhile. Think I'll be getting one to test out soon and I'll report back after I do.

Re: Kimera slip tip

I pulled the trigger last week and got one to take to the Philippines with me. I have a HH 130 and a Pathos 115 Roller there. The HH will be no problem. But my Pathos I have to shorten the barrel two inches so it will fit. I have tried my mori slip tip on the Pathos but can’t get it to shoot right wants to go right all the time. I have tried everything so I really want to put it on my Pathos and see what it will do but we’ll see.

Re: Kimera slip tip

Won't be better to get a longer shaft instead of cutting down the barrell? Just saying...

Yes but it’s to expensive to take shafts over 59 inches. Just to take that is $150 dollars on top of the price of the shaft. Anything over that would be $450 dollars plus the price of shaft. Believe me I’ve checked it out for the last ten years going back and forth.

Re: Kimera slip tip

Where does this 59" issue come into play? Ive flown into PI several times past couple years and had no problem taking my equipment in sport tube 2. In particular I took in an Abellan 130 with 170cm shaft and had no issues at all.

Your Pathos gun can shoot a 59" shaft.

Re: Kimera slip tip

2 days later haven’t even gotten an order confirmation or shipping information. Reached out over email and Instagram no response on either. For 8$ shipping on an item under half a pound that is kind of disappointing.

Won’t be able to use it this weekend at this rate.

Don’t know how you did that with the 62 inch total LxWxD that they allow you to bring. Please let me know how you did it. We’re are you located? The wife said it depends on the airline you fly on. What airline did you fly? We fly Philippine Airlines.

I live in San Diego but my wife and I have our house in PI. We go home every year. I’m retired now so I stay for three or four months just to go dive.
