It wasn't working, I was bildging after every rig, the bottom was delaminating. The last part that cracked was about 3' long.

I just couldn't get past the idea of having to swim to the nearest...

I may just fill in that hole in the center, put a tiller arm on the motor for steering and run it like a flatboat. Just think of the room we'd have.
