Re: 42 in Padauk

I've tried a dozen types of wood on spear guns and padauk is the only wood that has corkscrewed after cutting the lams; this doesn't happen all the time, but fairly often.

Some pieces were so...

Re: First Time Gun Build, Model

Great advice by Wood Guy and Manoa Matt!
I'd also check to see if your router bit for the thru cuts is long enough; the gun looks quite wide. You can flip gun and cut from both sides, but it's nice...

What I see on the wood database site is equal modulus of elasticity...would be relevant for...

Re: 3d printed roller muzzle...it may just work

Great work!
You know it's just a matter of time before the 3D printing will be the standard. Parts will be super accurate & strong, and you'll have endless designs sitting ready to print.

Re: Steve Alexander cast muzzle need .

He wouldn't sell me one years ago when I was going to build a gun...said I would screw...

Re: Steve Alexander cast muzzle need .

I believe Steve's muzzle has a more elaborate shape...ie there are subtle tapers on the interior portion where the wood inserts. To get the same fit I'd guess you would want to have the identical...

Re: who sells the ar target grips for 30$?

Re: 3d printed roller muzzle...it may just work

Any idea what the material cost is to make a handle?
The strength is definitely the major question. Looking forward to the final result.
Do you have to pay for software as well?
How hard to draw...
