That's a very good point. That was happening to me when I was doing some practice cuts and I was wondering what was going on , That explains it! wonder if you could incorporate an angle iron in there...

Here's the table saw jig I made after watching Gil's vid on YouTube . I highly recommend you make one, you can use it to cut tapers on your speargun stock...

Sounds like a good price, I'm not familiar with the wood don't know if it would be good for building a speargun Maybe someone else with more knowledge on this Will chime in

Yes I bought the teak for the blank the still hanging in my closet that manly DeBoor. I also ordered some wood from woodworkers source.com like I said before the teak at manley debooer is 30 some...

Reef mech is 1 inch tall so if you want it flush with the top of the gun, Cut it 1 inch deep

Dean at vector Marine has teak blanks in that price range . If you search, his link is posted on here somewhere I like your idea of using cheap wood first.it's better to make your mistakes there...

Yeah it ain't cheap, Itwas around a hundred bucks for the one board, somewhere around $30 a board foot. That's cool you want to get started building guns early in life.good luck and post some...

If your anywhere near Key West,Manley Deboor lumber has rough sawn Burmese teak in 4/4 boards.its a little pricey,but the board I picked out was real nice.they also have some mahogany as well.I...
