by "fiberglass" do you mean polyester resin ? if so , no it is not a good choice it will fall apart . poly is not a glue and is way to brittle when it is cured .

if you are going to do end joints ,do them correctly with finger joints with a bit like this, or with long keyed scarf joints

Drill press , and a 1/2" wood chisel , and a 3/16" chain saw file .

The tools you have are fine if you know how to use them
