So I finally got around to making the gun, I had some teak and made a 40" blank that was 1.5"W and 1.75"T I got all the cuts in it except the line anchor(anyone know length of neptonics??) I'll do it...

We'll I was gunna do the poly resin and cloth but I'll just get some epoxy and do it the right way

Got a butt load of teak for 50$ at a yard sale and I'm gunna glue up a blank soon. Litterally if anyone needs scrap pieces of teak in the lower keys area I'll let you take some, I have a trash can...

Can you use fiberglass cloth and resin to glue the boards of a blank together instead of epoxy? I'm doing a little test right now to see but I want other peoples opinions on it

Do I need a planer to straighten the wood or just a table saw, my friend is gluing me a blank and if it warps do I just use a table saw or do I need the planer

My dad's friend brought over a part of a mahagony tree that is around 4 feet long with a 10" diameter with bark and all, how do I get it into boards I'll upload a pic when I am home

I will be ordering mahagony from Home Depot on line for my main gun build it comes in 72x4x1(actually 72x3.5x.75) and I'll cut it into 72x1 3/4x .75 then do a four laminate blank and wait a few...

Ya just it has a half inch shank and my router only excepts quarter inch and I have a half inch which looks like the smaller one, I'm not using the UHMV track for this gun (if I even make this a gun)...

So here's my new plan, I'm gunna make my first gun of a 3-4 laminate oak that'll only be 36" long and make a small gun as my first one, just so I can get the hang of things then go for a big cannon...
