Re: Wholesale Parts?

Yeah this is what I've been doing for the past few years and I definitely prefer this kind of work. But a friend at the local dive shop wants me to design a few standard one-size-fits-all style guns...

Re: Wholesale Parts?

Nice. Yeah this will be the first time I'm stamping out multiple guns of the same style so I'll definitely plan on making some templates and jigs. Thanks!

Wholesale Parts?

Been a while since I've been on the forum! I'm potentially about to start supplying guns to a local dive shop so I'm back to shopping components. It's hard to make a respectable profit paying retail...

Re: Custom 135cm compound roller

On the one trip I used the gun I shot some snapper at probably 15ft no problem. I built this gun with wahoo and smaller tuna in mind. I don't know if it would be up the task for to a really huge...

Re: Why are my groupers and snappers cooking into rubber??

You can also try putting some lemon on the fish and letting it sit out for 20 or 30 minutes before cooking. Lemon will tenderize the meat pretty fast.

Re: Salvimar suits vs Yamamoto suits

I have one yamamoto suit and I like it fine, I know it is a popular material in lots of different suits out there, I just don't know anything about the material salvimar uses. My main question is...

Salvimar suits vs Yamamoto suits

Looking for some input from anyone who has experience with both. I'm looking into a salvimar NAT suit but I know it isn't yamamoto rubber. How do their suits compare to those that use yamamoto? I'd...

Custom 135cm compound roller

I custom built this gun for myself and have decided to sell it. It's a great gun to shoot, super smooth with no recoil at all. It is made from purple heart and mahogany with neptonics hardware. I...

Re: New build - 135 compound roller

Yeah this is the thinnest I've gone on the muzzle without reinforcement. On past guns I've done inlaid carbon fiber bars that work well. The purple heart is so strong I think it'll be fine, but I'm...

Re: New build - 135 compound roller

I think it will fade some over time. Most exotic wood species look their best right when they first get oiled. Teak oil has a high resistance to UV and should keep it well protected as long as I...

Last season in the Gulf of Mexico

We had some fun in the Gulf last year! We made the most of an extended red snapper season (finally) and amberjack season after it it wasn't even opened the year before. Lots of diving and nice...

New build - 135 compound roller

I've been honing in on this design over the last few builds and I think I'm getting close to my best version of this style. I factor in a handful of changes and updates every time I build one of...

Roller gun rubber storage

I've been wondering if leaving roller guns stored with the rubber tensioned underneath can cause the band to lose stretch over time. Even if the band is only pretensioned a little bit, it seems like...

Question about Meandros Roller Wheels

Does anyone have measurements on a fully assembled meandros roller wheel with bearings installed? The measurements online say 17mm wide, and I'm wondering if that includes the bearings. Do the...

Re: When Guns Are Not Allowed - The Fish Lasso (A Rubber Actuated Snare)

Yeah I was wondering about halibut in Denmark, are there not many there? We had an awesome time for sure, no problems with snobby people like you say, everyone was super nice. Of course it was new...

Re: When Guns Are Not Allowed - The Fish Lasso (A Rubber Actuated Snare)

I was just in Denmark a few weeks ago and thinking it looked like an awesome place to dive. Are spearguns still allowed in the day time?

Re: Floating Shafts... Are they worth it?

One comment about my accuracy concern - my friend has the C4 Mr Dark gun where the shaft is pretty much full floating and has barely any contact with the track, and while it isn't a very powerful gun...

Floating Shafts... Are they worth it?

I've been gearing up to start a new build soon and just doing some research on design details I might want to work into this new gun. I've noticed this new detail in a few recent speargun designs...

Re: Riffe Roller

I would think the neptonics muzzle kit would work fine with most wood guns especially something as common as a riffe

Re: Mythicon Erevos - Mid-plus?

Not sure about that but my friend had a brand new Mythicon that broke the first time he used it. The pins they use on the trigger mechanisms are tiny and brittle. That's all I know about those guns.
