Hi Chris. Sorry i didn't see i had a message. La Jolla has been pretty dead for the last month. They have been getting them down deep at night. It's been so dirty i haven't gone in the past month, but got a few nice size at the start of the season. Those were some nice Yellows you got. Hope to see you soon.

Catalina was nice. We had an awesome spot to stay, along with a golf cart, which made things really convenient. Viz and conditions were really good Sun & Mon, but went downhill quick on tues and wed. We dove every morning by renting kayaks at Descanso beach and then paddling up the coast to get outside the city limits. This meant a late start every morning waiting for the rental place to open at 0900.

Didn't see much worth shooting. My brother got a decent Sheepshead that made. Nice ceviche, but I hunted three days and only pulled the trigger twice (once was while the &$@%# safety had been pushe in) so I whiffed a perfect shot on a nice ~5lb calico. No croaking heard, and didn't see ANY flatties.

Nice diving for the most part, but lousy hunting. :-)
