    Yes, I had the same preferences when I did my courses. The problem is the instructors often change/move on seasonally; the couple that trained me 2 yrs ago are now working in another country. I would recommend you spend some time talking to a few instructors who will actually be running the courses (best in person, if you can) and go with the one that feels right for you. Ask them also about their freediving/teaching experience and achievements. Any half-decent instructor will easily have you diving to 20m+ during a Level 2 course. However, I felt the greatest benefits were gained from diving much more safely after doing both L 1 & 2 courses

    One other point, AIDA and SSI are the internationally recognized standard and qualifications in the freediving world. I know of at least one Thai-based school that follows neither curriculum, but prefers to set it's own, for some reason.
