Hi Blackfoot,
Thanks for the come back. I'm planning on getting a pair for spearing in the Forida Keys, I'm 180 lbs, and I normally work 50 to 60 feet with very old plastic Beuchat fins from the 1990's. So, fiberglass should make it easier and possibly add to my bottom time, which is 70 +/- 1 second.
I emailed Haussler and his recommendation was the soft stiffness and I wondered about that because he did not have any mediums in stock (backordered I guess). He said he personally uses the soft DiveR's????
I also emailed Mike at Freediving Unlimited and he recommended medium stiffness. So, needless to say it's confusing, but your input helps. If you have any dive buddies that tried both soft and medium, I'd appreciate more opinions.....Dave

i have the medium stiffness..3 pairs, basically to match my suits...lol...and yes, i still love them. they are the best fins i have ever used..i like carbon maybe just a little more, but for the money and longevity, you will not find a better fin. Now i have yet to use the Gary fisher Snoopers, which are almost the same in design, and i was told those are really nice as well and i am looking forward to trying the Spierre's from Sumora. What type of diving are you doing and how deep do you dive?
