I used Valvoline Dex/Merc. It has been working perfectly.
My original problem was contaminated fluid. This caused the valve in the streering pump to not switch from right to left. The wheel would turn. But, the engines would not. After cleaning the valve, and flushing the system a couple of times to remove contamination, the valve stopped sticking. :-)
Hi, was just reading your old post about using Dexron III. was wondering how it's working. 12 bucks a gallon over 19 a quart for seastar at WM, would love to go to dexron. thanks. bill
