The 16 meters would be in a lake or pool. It's just a horizontal swim for that length to be sure people have the strength/stamina to do it. My guess is that everyone will do this very easily.
A deposit would be great to hold your place. Let's say $150? I'm coming up to Seattle next Friday so maybe we could meet up then?
