I would just like to quote David on possibly the best thing I have ever read on spearboard,
"IMO spearboard reports are great when used to help other spearos get to the point where they should naturally be in the kelp quietly hunting wsb. They are inspirational at times and informative always. Most of the techniques I use to hunt, the decisions Ive made on gear, and a good portion of the inspiration to dive cold and miserable early-season spots can be traced to spearboard. I owe spearboard alot, even before noting the invaluable MLPA effort it mobilized. I believe spearboard is a great tool when used responsibly, and it is sad that the older divers are chased away by those that lack responsibility (we all know who Im talking about). Irresponsible posting about real-time specific information about where fish are has no place on spearboard. That information should be left to the time honored tradition of diver-to-diver exchanges (phone call, text, PM, face-to-face)."
