Floatline Adapter

Any tips/thread on a DIY Floatline Adapter like the Neptonic model ?

That looks nice, but you can do the same with a piece of bungee cord attached to your shooting line. Just make sure to clip the floatline to the shooting line itself and not the bungee, which will go directly to the line release.

I know Bill McIntire posted some pictures here, but he left this forum some time ago...

Anyway, it has a name and it is "Hawaiian break away".

Yes, I know, I use to do the bungee thing but I find that the tuna clip is in the way, flapping on the gun. Now I use the "Floatline Adapter" from Neptonics and I love it.. I have a pretty good idea on how to make them but was just wondering if anyone here has made some DIY ..

I attach my float line to my shooting line and just put a rubber band to line to line release. No clips or anything else to deal with.

I like the 1400 pound spectra line.... attached to a 250 pound, probably nicked mono shooting line lol. I guess we could use large diameter cable shooting line!
