Re: Current Vis Key West 0MM - Big Pine 30MM
Went out yesterday from Key West toward Boca Grande, viz wasn't great, less than ten feet. We moved over to the jetties, same thing, and what made it worse was the viz at the bottom which actually got murkier...

Re: Current Vis Key West 0MM - Big Pine 30MM
Hello, everyone.
I'm new to this website. I live in Key West and have been doing spearfishing for the past 1,5 years. I would really like to meet any spearos from this area and go fishing together. I would share gas and ice money. PM me if anyone is interested. Thanks. |

On average the water has basically been filthy since Irma yeah? I feel like you guys may have had like 20 or less clean days. It sure has been fishy though!

Everyone was saying they were seeing a lot of blacks on the days they were able to go dive but I haven’t seen anyone land any nice blacks off key west. Should have my boat ready by this afternoon though so that will change.

Re: Current Vis Key West 0MM - Big Pine 30MM
Hi folks!
Came to Florida from snowy Rhode Island yesterday just to face 7 feet swell and crushing 30 m/h wind Weekend trip to the Key West scheduled for tomorrow 1/10 is about to fail. Sad... The plan was to take a sailboat trip and dive on a reefs around key. Do you think I can possibly find some luck in so rough ocean? Was thinking if it make sense to look for covered areas behind the island or so? Any insight will be appreciated. |
