Re: First Video!

Im using the quick release gopro mount from mako. The only issue ive seen with head mounts is that we tend to move our heads quickly while searching for fish which can give a jerky/dizzy feeling to...

First Video!

Video from around the CBBT. Vis was about 4-5'. The camera definitely could see farther than me. I know there isn't much to see, but it is all I had to work with on this trip. Hope you enjoy!

CBBT report 5-28

70+ degree water, 4' vis at 3rd and 4th. Limited on 6-10lb sheeps. Saw tons of huge togs of course. Only saw a handful of spade between 4 divers. Laid flat on the way back to end a great day of...

Re: thinking about goin to the cbbt tomorrow

If the vis cooperates you should do well. Water and air temps good, winds good, good timing for tides. Overall should be nice as long as the storm didnt mess too much up. Goodluck. Make sure to post...

Re: CBBT report

Even if it was at low tide ... turbidity levels at FL were sitting at the days lowest (below 1). I was asking to try and check out the coordination between the reading and the actual vis. Bummer.

Re: Tog everywhere

Gotta be in the 50's in the Bay before the tog become active again. Ive been out there a little early, and there has been nothing swimming. Then the next weekend I was covered in em. Water is getting...

Re: So when is everyone planning on taking the first dive

In VA, shootable fish dont really start coming back active until it hits 50ish. Whenever that is, is when Im getting in. This year is really cold so far. A couple years ago, the bay water temp never...

Re: Carbon fins from MAKO

READ Dano's response before you respond :

"The reason we can do this is because we sell direct to the divers, instead of selling through dive shops. "

Re: how can our community clarify an annoying dfg regulation?

If you take a good shot, paralyzers work great! Commercial guys use them all the time on grouper close to a 100lbs. As long as your not gut shooting it like a nub it would work fine. And again, only...

Re: how can our community clarify an annoying dfg regulation?

Why not just use a barbed paralyzer tip on days you are going for lobster? Not the best, but neither is getting a ticket.

Re: Best Camo for PNW

If camo did nothing, then all the fish in the sea wouldnt bother having it. Yet they ALL do in some form whether it is blending in to the bottom/kelp or with countershading. The lateral line system...
