shooting yellowtail in cold water
I'm in Baja, it's February, it's cold in the water. I tried using a 5 mm, it simply doesn't cut it anymore. I have to live with my 7 mm if I want to have breatholds that surpass 60 seconds.
Green water comes from who knows where, and it drags sediments. Fortunately, there are fish around. If you have the patience you will shoot cuberas. I didn't get a shot but a nice grouper came out of the muck at one point. And there are these guys, always around : You can see how eery (for Baja) the conditions are. Fortunately, I can go warm up in the thermal baths in Sargento afterwards lol https://scontent.flap2-1.fna.fbcdn.n...9a&oe=605AC244 |

Thanks for sharing the video. I always like seeing what the waters are like in different parts of the world.

That video looks awesome... and visibility, for what I am used to, is not bad AT ALL.
We are also using 7mm suits right now... cannot wait to put on the 5mm and ditch some lead from my waist... Mikel |
